  AKITA, A GOOD LUCK CHARM   The Akita Inu, Akita Ken, Japanese Akita or simply Akita, is a dog native to Japan that is estimated to have existed for 3,000 years and is considered a national pride and a good luck charm. The Akita is a large-sized dog, with a very hairy and wide head but is proportionate to the rest of the body. As for its character, it is calm, shy and reserved, they are usually relaxed throughout the day and do not need much physical exercise. Its main characteristic is that it is one of the breeds that shows the most loyalty to its master and is distrustful of strangers, which makes it a great watchdog.

  THE NAME HACHIKO   The name of this genuine and faithful animal was no coincidence. It comes from the word "hachi" which, in Japan, means "eight". Professor Ueno chose to give him this name because of the animal's physical characteristics: Hachiko's front legs were slightly deviated.

  "HACHIKO", A TRUE STORY Hachiko was a dog born in 1923 on a farm near the town of Odate, Akita Prefecture. He was picked up by Professor Ueno Hidesaburo, who took him to his home, not far from Shibuya train station. Every morning, while the professor was on his way to work, Hachiko accompanied his master, walking with him to Shibuya train station. The dog would watch as his master disappeared into the train station, Hachiko would then sit in the small square in front of the train station and wait for his master's return.    This became a daily routine for a year, until one day in May 1925 Professor Ueno did not return. Hachiko did not know that his master had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and died. Every day for the next nine years, nine months and fifteen days, Hachiko appeared at the door of the train station just as the train that was to bring back his owner was arriving.  The story of the dog who never gave up gained much local and national news attention, inspirin

A REFLECTION ON LOYALTY, AND MAN'S BEST FRIEND, THE DOG.    A film that will undoubtedly not leave animal lovers indifferent, as it is highly moving and dramatic. Hachiko teaches us that love, loyalty and friendship can be infinite, and that not only people are capable of feeling, but the animal world is not exempt from it. Animals feel the same emotions as we do, they love, they are happy, they are sad, they mourn losses, they celebrate reunions. What happens is that the way they express their emotions is different, but they feel completely the same as any other person. Let's take care of the animal world and remember that although they cannot speak or reason, they feel pain, they have emotions and their loyalty can be surprising, like that of the hero of this touching movie. This story not only tells us the story of the dog that is considered the most loyal dog in the world, but that love knows no limits. And it is precisely this, love, man's best friend, embodied in this
